We are very proud of the build quality of our products. And while the title “best in quality” can only be handed out by the customer, we welcome comparison to any similar product being offered in the marketplace.

Just compare our shed designs.

All Cedar Ridge sheds are built to meet or exceed CMHC standards for single story buildings. Here are a few examples of where our sheds meet or exceed industry norms.

Better Floor
Our shed floors are constructed from 2”x4” lumber placed on edge and spaced 12” apart. These are supported by 4”x4” beams placed no more than 4 feet apart and topped with ¾” plywood.  The entire floor rests above the ground on concrete stones. If you need storage for a garden tractor, snow blower, or other heavy items you will appreciate the “no bounce / no sag” design.

Better walls
The wall frame is the skeleton that holds everything in place and supports the doors, windows and roof. We use 2”x4” lumber placed on edge and spaced 16” on center. The wall frames are complete with a bottom plate and double top plate for extra rigidity and support for the roof. These elements are often left out of inferior designs.

Better doors
We have not seen a shed door that is stronger than ours. The interior of the doors are both framed and ledged using 2”x6” lumber with 2”x4”cross-bracing. 2 ½“exterior trim provides additional rigidity. The door is attached to the frame using heavy gauge, rust-proof hinges.

Better roofs
Our roof trusses are spaced 16” apart on centre and reinforced with ¾” plywood gussets. This design insures maximum strength sufficient for any snow load. The roof is topped with ½” plywood for maximum durability and resistance against water damage. We use only first quality 25 year asphalt shingles.

Better window material
Our standard shed windows are made from high grade acrylic and framed in cedar. This material is 10 times stronger than glass and will not yellow or crack with age.

If you have an idea that could improve the quality or functionality of any of our products we would love to hear from you. We are committed to continuous improvement.
